Why did he build it?
It was built from 1555–1561 on orders
from Ivan the Terrible, to become a church for the Russian Christian Orthodoxy. What materials were used in the St. Basil 's cathedral construction?
It's made with a little bit of gold, but mostly wood, stone, and brick.
Why were they chosen?
The domes on top of the structure are made from gold and because the stone is light weight and the gold was for aesthetics. The bottom half was made from wood and brick for the foundation to add support for the whole structure. What sales techniques might have been used to promote
this structure?
Although it was built in the name of religon. The true purpose and selling point about it was that it was a symbol of the Russian empire. There is 9 domes on the top of the structure How was it built?
The original church burnt down in 1583 and rebuilt in 1593 also in In 1737 the church was damaged by another fire and later restored.
