- Sweet Pea is an adorable Earth Pony with her mother, Fluttershy's shy streak and father, Bubble Mint's strong working instinct. However, she decided to follow in her mother's footsteps as a caretaker for animals, discovering her talent at a very young age; singing with the birds and being able to call large flocks of different species of birds. Ironic, since she's an Earth Pony, after all.
She's kind, sweet and a tad bit shy but always puts her heart out for the animals she takes care of and makes sure they're all happy and healthy. She has a minty coat and has her mother's mane but with some green streaks through it. She keeps her tail a bit shorter than both of her parents to avoid it always dragging along the ground and getting dirty.
When she was born, Fluttershy was a bit taken back that Sweet Pea was an Earth Pony, but after a moment, held the newborn foal in her hooves and softly said, "Thanks to your father, you will never have to go through what I did..." meaning of course her own harsh foalhood in the Flight Academy.
She currently lives with her mother and attends school with Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, yet she usually keeps to herself, but still suffers the occasional annoyance of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, but she usually pays no heed and minds her own business as to not become involved with the two.
