- About:
- After a recently passed decade, a magical surge created a revamp on an ancient tome that appeared untouched in Ahura's library; Ribbon Ponies in History, a documentation of all recorded Ribbon Ponies within the time span between the spell's creation and the ban of the spell.
Within the yellow-tinted pages were photos of a few ponies, marked as the most recent. The last few ponies that became such were some of the most recent, including a story on what was known about Ahura before he became such. The book was a glimpse into a past he could not remember...
Born five years before Princess Luna turned betrayer, there lived a stallion by the name Clover; coat of a soft green and a mint mane with three definitive stripes of brightness, standing on mint hooves. His cutie mark was what appeared to be an anvil; possibly he was a blacksmith or forge-pony during the time? Clover lived to see the Luna-Eclipse and her banishment to the moon. He did not think much of it; he was an ignorant mortal-- immediately blaming Luna for this, thinking that she was always truly evil.
However, when Nightmare Moon was banished, she placed the Ribbon Pony spell on several dozen ponies; most of them realized they were cursed and sought proper action, seeking Princess Celestia to undo the curse and to let them stay at peace after death. However, Clover did not realize.
After reading this, it all made sense; how he got here, centuries ago and why he was here. All by sheer coincidence. After centuries of open-mindedness and understanding, Ahura realized that Luna was not evil; she was lonely and felt as though no one loved her, nor basked in her nocturnal embrace. She was never evil.
Ahura does not blame Luna, nor himself for the matter. Once a mortal "Clover", did not know he was spell-bound to unrest upon physical death. After all, Ahura was happy for what he has become. Though he does not show emotion very much, he does feel joy in what he now is; a spirit of black ribbon, a sentient being of knowledge and wisdom.
Although, at times, Ahura indeed does miss the warm beams of sunlight cascading along his face and snout, he feels more content and safe in the darkness; no one can see him, nor hurt him. They can only see the piercing glow of his eyes through the murky black.
Along with the book on recorded Ribbon Ponies, Ahura had discovered that Ribbon Ponies are not, by any means, to be ostracized for what they are. However, they cannot survive comfortably on the surface, for sunlight burns their solid ribbon bodies and can reduce them to ashes-- painfully ripping the spirit from the body of beautiful ebony threads. Ahura never missed the sun after learning that that could happen to a Ribbon Pony.
