Sun Snow is a mature, calm mare who lives a relaxing life on the face of Foal Mountain as a fleece farmer, tending to mountain-fairing sheep whom provide the soft material. She was born into a rather lonely family of just her mother; only family member she is aware of. Her mother passed away from illness sometime after Sun Snow got her cutie mark; Sun Snow was aware of her mother's oncoming mortality though was still saddened that she had to say one final goodbye to her mother before her body was carted away in a coffin by several other ponies down to Hallow Shades cemetery.
Today, Sun Snow lives alone in her small cabin and handles the farm quite well. She got her cutie mark right before she hit puberty; she was playing in the first of the soft snow of winter, suddenly the sun broke free and bore a beautiful pastel rainbow. From then on, she treasured every winter and loved the mixture of the icy bright sun, gifting her a cutie mark of sun and snow of course. Now, she is about 23 years of age and earns good pay for the beautifully soft fleece that the mountain sheep bore every year; thick and invaluable, as these sheep are not easily domesticated.
Thankfully, she is able to calm these hostile sheep; roping them and bringing them into the protective stables and field. The general makeup of her home is simple; she lives in a beautiful log cabin-house, small, perfectly fit for one or two occupants. The cabin-house and stables and field are well spaced out; they were placed on a large range between the mountains, where they are a wondrous leafy green from spring to autumn-- all but winter when the grass is dead and buried on cold. At this time, Sun Snow usually gets regular imports of food for the sheep, more so in winter than any other time of year.
