- Princess Luna is the younger sister of Princess Celestia, who in her jealously, transformed into Nightmare Moon, and attempted to overthrow her sister and leave Equestria in total darkness. She was banished to the Moon by Celestia for a thousand years. On her return she was defeated by the Mane Six, and now lives and regiens with her sister once more. :D
