She was not born a butterfly alicorn so read the story before you yell OP PONY!!!!!!!!
Along time ago BPT (before princess twilight)this mare named Snow Gleam wasn't always a alicorn butterfly.She was once a unicorn but that changed when she was walking to the Golden Oak Libriary (before it exploaed) and asked Twilight to do the spell she did on Rairty to give her wings.She wanted to help Derpy pass out mail in clouds dale.Twilight attemped to do the difficult spell again but failed to do it right.Instead of just poof colorful fake wings they acually grew as a see through colorish smaller butterfly wings.Twilight did many tests and it seemed nothing was different.Her magic was normal and she did not gain alicorn magic,the only thing different was the fact she had butterfly wings.The thing is they were also stuck on her.
She really just kept her life normal after that.She was now able to do her job easier and fly around with her sister.She wasn't really saw as a princess nor a alicorn.She was only thought as the unicorn butterfly hibbrid.
